Kevin opens the show wondering if it’s going to be another boring NFL Free Agency period for the Redskins. Bruce Allen has dared to dive deep into free agency since he’s been here. Are we on the verge of another Stephen Paia, Pernell McPhee, and Orlando Scandrick offseason? Kevin talked Antonio Brown too. Clinton Portis came on the show to weigh in on the Skins, Antonio Brown, College Hoops, and the NFL Draft. Ben Standig called in to discuss the Skins and Wizards. Kevin finished up the show with some Maryland basketball and other college hoops talk.
Kevin. I wonder if you’ve watched any of the Wizards coverage lately. The pregame show has this whole setting the line segment where they give over-unders on things like how many assists will Sato have, etc. Then they have this entire alternate broadcast on NBCSWA+ where they have pseudo bets throughout the game on things like what team will win the tip off, what team will score first, what team will make the first 3, etc, and you go to the website to make you’re choice with a chance to win a prize.
This whole thing, especially in conjunction with the news about Buck, and the putrid play of the team, is really starting to piss me off !!!! I’m really developing a dislike for Ted Leonsis. And I am a huge Caps fan as well, but regarding the Wizards he is such a disappointment as owner.
And let me tell you, my only interaction with him was an email response i got from him years ago, from a pretty innocent email I had sent basically telling him about a player i liked (I can’t even remember who it was now), someone who was available I
thought they should consider getting. And I got the nastiest response something along the lines of , well maybe we should just make you the GM of the team because you know so much more than we do. I mean I didn’t say anything derogatory or even mention Ernie , I only was telling them about the player and Why I thought he’d be a good fit for them. Whatever.
