Kevin opens up talking about the delirious reaction the Redskins’ draft and the sudden sentiment that the benefit of the doubt should be given to Dan Snyder and Bruce Allen. He weighs in on the Dwayne Haskins/Joe Theismann #7 jersey debate. JP Finlay/NBC Sports Washington was a guest on the show with his far-too-early 53-man roster projection. Kevin finished up the show with some NBA Playoffs, Nats-Cards, and the Houston Rockets memo to the league about having last year’s NBA Championship stolen from them.

  1. Gotta say The Skins had a really good draft, and it’s once again nice to see them “winning off the field”!

A couple take aways… I wonder how the draft would be viewed had they taken Sweat at 15 and Haskins at 26?

I found Jay’s comments how they had met with Haskins for a long time, and went out to dinner with him, as a veiled admission that he was Dan’s guy. I mean how many other prospects did they do that with?

I found Mortenson’s comments about Sweat during the draft a little concerning. He brought up a couple different times during the broadcast about Sweats’ college coach saying he needed to go to the right team, and “you can’t yell at him”. I mean it was the main thing his coach had to say about him.

  2. Hey Kevin, love the show!! Really appreciate you doing the G.O.T. segment, love that show, and also had the difficulty with the battle scene in the last episode. I kept thinking “what’s happening I can’t see” and “is something wrong with my TV ??” … I came to the conclusion my plasma TV just didn’t jive with the way the show was filmed, so I was glad the year I wasn’t the only one with the problem!

Also agree with Aaron about Aria ‘s ability to sneak up on the Night King. This was in the works from the beginning of the series. In season 1 in her sword fighting lessons with her dance instructor teaching her to say to Death “not today”, and to chase cats as part of her training. Throughout the show she would overhear people’s conversations without them knowing she was there. Her whole training with the many faced assassin. And even in that last episode her maneuvering through the library without a sound….

  3. Hey Kevin, really love the show, and listen every day! Really helps in getting through the work day. Also love the podcast format as opposed to the live radio, because I can listen as I drive from job to job and pause when I need to so i don’t miss anything!! I always enjoyed the Sports Fix, and I do wish you could get Tommy on more often, maybe 3 days a week? The show is so much better when it’s the both of you. It reminds me of that show the Odd Couple… Maybe you can pay him more?

And do like hearing Andy and Cooley on with you as well. But Tommy is more entertaining.

Also, I was just wondering if you might be able to have more discussions about Scent Bird ?? That’s the best part of the show !! (kidding).

Anyway, keep it up, glad I found the show, and I tell people to check it out!
