Kevin opens with Toronto’s NBA Championship close-out win last night in Oakland. Redskins’ defensive tackle Jonathan Allen was a guest on the show as was ESPN’s Bobby Marks to discuss the Wizards’ reported pending offer to Raptors’ GM Masai Ujiri. Some US Open and the Redskins’ intriguing hire too.
Kevin and Thom open the show with some Stanley Cup talk which morphed into a discussion about the women of “The Office”. Then it was the Kevin Durant grief-stricken Warriors and whether or not they will suspend their mourning of Durant for Game 6 tonight. Trent Williams sent out an Instagram photo of presumably himself in a hospital bed. Scott Van Pelt was on the show to talk about the US Open and NBA Finals. The boys finished up with some Nats and West Side Story.
Kevin opens the show with the Raiders getting “Hard Knocks”. He then discusses the media’s continued mourning over Kevin Durant’s injury. Then it’s a review of some of Jay Gruden’s sound bites from yesterday which leads to Kevin and Aaron’s “Opening Day Starting QB Odds”. Bob Carpenter/MASN joined the show to talk Nats. Kevin finished up with Team USA’s 13-0 win over Thailand, more Landon Collins talk, and some recent Maryland football news.
Kevin and Thom recapped a crazy Game 5 of the NBA Finals and the bizarre aftermath. Lots of discussion about Kevin Durant’s injury, Nick Nurse’s TWO ill-fated timeouts, and predictions on the remainder of the series. Nats, Redskins, and which DC sports figure rivals David Ortiz in Boston.
Bruce Allen talked briefly on Friday about the Trent Williams situation. Kevin opened the show with his thoughts on that and then had JP Finlay/NBC Sports Washington who got the interview with Allen on to discuss. Kevin talked NBA Finals, Nats, and gave an early guess or two on the Skins’ 2019 MVP.
