The discussion included Adrian Peterson, Jordan Reed, Trent Williams, Ryan Kerrigan, and a hypothetical “if Joe Burrow is available at #2”. Kevin and Aaron finished up with the potential for a new NFL Playoff format and some college hoops.
Thom joined the show by phone from Nats’ Spring Training in West Palm Beach. The guys talked Astros cheating, Daytona 500 crash, along with plenty on the Redskins. Assuming Alex Smith doesn’t come back, who should the Redskins add at quarterback? Mike Tomlin defended Mason Rudolph and the Terps with a game tonight to keep their Big 10 lead.
Kevin and Aaron opened with some NBA All-Star game discussion and then got quickly to Maryland’s huge Saturday night win at Michigan State. Was this Turgeon’s biggest win? Where does Anthony Cowan’s close-out performance rank on the list of the greatest Terp finishes? Lots of Redskins talk off the news of the cuts on Friday and Kevin did a quick XFL vs NFL pace-of-play study and shared the surprising results.
Kevin opened with the news that the Redskins are releasing Josh Norman. JP Finlay/NBC Sports Washington was a guest to discuss Norman, Quinton Dunbar, Trent Williams and more. Kevin and Aaron talked about the Matthew McConaughey/Dan Snyder “Happy Thanksgiving” video. The guys finished up previewing Maryland-Michigan State.
