Kevin solo today on the new ownership introductory press conference today at Fed Ex Field. You’ll hear what owners Josh Harris, Magic Johnson, and Mitch Rales had to say. Additionally, there were several interesting comments including from Magic earlier in the day about the possibility of a name change. Dan and Tanya Snyder released a statement that Kevin discussed as well.

Kevin opened the show by answering a tweet that asked Kevin if he thinks Sam Howell “deserves” the chance to be the 2023 Week 1 starter. Kevin was then joined by Andy Pollin on the eve of what should be an owner vote to ratify Josh Harris as the new owner of the Washington Commanders tomorrow in Minneapolis. The boys looked back on the 24-year Snyder disaster and looked forward to the Harris era.

Kevin and Thom today talking about the final days of Snyder. The boys discussed the Washington Post report that the NFL Finance Committee has approved the Josh Harris deal and that Snyder and the league have resolved their legal issues. Snyder also met with Mary Jo White according to the Post report. Now comes a vote on Thursday and the closing of the purchase shortly thereafter. The guys talked about the moment they knew Snyder as an owner had doomed the franchise. They also discussed where the Snyder exit ranks among the most important DC “non-game” sports stories. Some Ohtani and Thom’s Hemingway “Look-Alike” contest prep was part of the show as well.

Kevin today on the beginning of a week that should mark the last for Dan Snyder as owner of the Washington Commanders. Kevin also played and discussed Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes’ comments over the weekend about losing Eric Bieniemy. Legendary Washington Post reporter/editor Len Shapiro jumped on with Kevin to talk about covering Snyder during the early days. During their conversation, Shapiro mentioned that before his passing, Jack Kent Cooke was considering changing the name of the team.
