Kevin is off this week but he left a few shows with a theme. The theme, Jayden Daniels. Today’s show features Chris Cooley with a few “film breakdowns” of Daniels. The first is his pre-draft film on Daniels from April of 2024, a few weeks before the NFL Draft. Then, you’ll hear Cooley’s “film breakdown” of believe it or not, Jayden’s first two preseason games last summer!

Today’s show goes back to Kevin’s post-game podcast in the early-morning hours of January 19th following the stunning 45-31 playoff win over the Lions. It was his #1 moment from last year and it was a superstar performance for Daniels.

Kevin and Thom today with a menu of excellence featuring several delicious items. Thom is recovering from a “procedure” that has him on Day 3 of no food. A thought-provoking emailer compared Terry McLaurin to Jimmy Butler. The boys reacted to that. Some name, stadium, Nats’ trade-deadline, and Hulk Hogan discussion on the show as well as a strong documentary recommendation (“What The Hell Happened To Blood, Sweat, and Tears”) from Thom.

Kevin opened with Von Miller explaining why he chose Washington to play his 14th NFL season. Mitch Tischler/Monumental Sports-Beltway Pod jumped on to share his impressions of Commanders’ camp so far and talk Terry McLaurin hold-out. Maryland Basketball Coach Buzz Williams joined Kevin for the first time since he was hired to finish up today’s show.

Kevin and Thom went offered up a buffet of topic choices on today’s show. They opened with Thom stating that the Trump/Redskins/RFK thing could possibly “engulf the entire franchise”. Plenty on the breaking news of the day reported by NBC-4 that the DC City Council has reached a revised agreement with Commanders on the RFK deal which will lead to a Council vote as soon as next week. The boys discussed Terry McLaurin in two different ways. First, whose side are you on…are you Team Terry or Team Front Office? Secondly, what would the team look like without him. They reacted to Stephen A. Smith’s suggestion that Baltimore and Washington share a football stadium. Additionally, Kevin talked about the Netflix show “Mindhunter” and the guys responded to Maryland Football Coach Mike Locksley’s comments about why he “lost the locker room” last season.

Kevin opened with Terry McLaurin opting to hold-out for the start of training camp as the two sides appear to be far apart on a deal. Lots of Adam Peters and Dan Quinn from their joint press conference this morning including their side of the contract negotiations with McLaurin.
