Kevin and Thom today opened with James Wood’s Nats debut and then got to what happened four years ago to the day. That was the day that Fed Ex took the first step towards killing the Redskins name. Fed Ex issued a statement on July 2, 2020 requesting the Redskins “change its name” and the team responded that they would “undergo a review of the teams’ name”. The boys went back and talked about what happened, why it happened, and the many ramifications that followed because of Fed Ex’s decision that day. The guys talked NBA Free Agency, Thom’s recent trip near Kevin’s neighborhood, and lots more.

Kevin and Thom today talked golf “hole-in-ones” to start along with the more on the Wizards’ long-term tank. Then the boys got to an ESPN “NFL Live” conversation today where Jeremy Fowler said that people he has talked to around the league are “scared to death what Washington could be with Jayden Daniels”. They finished with a discussion about Bronny James to the Lakers.

Kevin opened with the Wizards’ draft night which included a big trade and three first-round picks as they continue to look way down the road. Ben Standig/The Athletic jumped on with his thoughts on the Wizards’ draft night plus he stuck around to talk Commanders which included his take on the latest front-office moves and his just-released “all-too-early” 53-man offensive roster projection.

Kevin opened with Terry McLaurin making a “Wide Receiver Top 15” list. Kevin discussed the latest Instagram post from Brandon Aiyuk and the Commanders’ front office changes. He previewed tonight’s NBA Draft and gave his opinion on the Wizards’ projected pick at #2, Alex Sarr. Georgetown basketball head coach Ed Cooley was a guest with his thoughts on the Maryland-Georgetown rivalry resuming in 2025.
