Kevin and Thom today with a ton on the Commanders to start including more reporting/suggesting from national guys that Washington is going to select Jayden Daniels in the upcoming NFL Draft. Plenty on Connecticut’s national championship win last night over Purdue to cap dominant back to back title runs. Lots more on South Carolina-Iowa and the huge television audience the game attracted. Thom weighed in on Steven Strasburg’s career as well.

Kevin today solo with plenty of football to start including a discussion about NFL dual-threat QB teams over the last 12 years plus John Keim’s column on what’s important to Dan Quinn in the evaluation of the quarterbacks in the draft. Kevin talked college hoops both women and men, Stephen Strasburg’s clutch career coming to an official end, and Denny McCarthy’s near-incredible comeback win at TPC San Antonio yesterday.

Lots of QB/NFL Draft talk on the show today. Kevin played a part of his Team 980 radio show interview with Hall of Fame Quarterback Kurt Warner where Warner reveals the QB he thinks Washington should take at #2 overall. Logan Paulsen was a guest on the show breaking down all of the QBs the Commanders will likely have a chance to draft and picking his favorite match for the team. Kevin talked some Final 4 and had one “Smell Test” pick as well.

Kevin and Thom today with a show that offers as much variety in topics as there are opinions on quarterbacks in the NFL Draft. The show’s first segment started with Kevin talking about being at the Wizards-Lakers game last night and somehow ended with John Glenn’s 1962 orbiting of the earth. The guys had plenty of NFL Draft talk in the 2nd segment which included the wide-ranging opinions on many of the top QBs. The guys finished with the Caps, DJ Burns Jr. saying no to football, and some follow-up on the Stefon Diggs’ trade.

Kevin opened the show with some Commanders’ sound from the first day of the offseason workout program. You’ll hear Sam Cosmi and Terry McLaurin on the show and you’ll hear Kevin discuss whether or not Washington will draft a WR in the first three rounds of the draft later this month. Kevin also had some help in solving the “did Brian Kelly let something slip on Jayden Daniels” last week case. John Ourand/Puck News jumped on to talk about the incredible ratings for the Iowa-LSU game on Monday night and how big of a TV ratings needle-mover Caitlin Clark has become.
