A few quick Skins’ draft predictions an hour before the draft starts.

  1. They will pick at 15 tonight.  No trades up; no trades down.
  2. They will pick a quarterback at 15 if Haskins, Jones, and/or Lock are available.
  3. If they select Haskins, it’s Dan Snyder’s pick more than anybody else’s in the organization.
  4. If all the QBs are gone, they’ll take one of the following based on availability—Jonah Williams, Cody Ford, Chris Lindstrom, Marquise Brown, Montez Sweat.
  5. They will add a safety and WR in the first three rounds of the draft.
  6. If either of the following four safeties are available tomorrow night, they’ll take one of them— Darnell Savage Jr, Jonathan Abram, Juan Thornhill, Deionte Thompson.  **They may have to trade up to get the guy they want**
  7. If they don’t draft a QB in the first round, they won’t draft one before Saturday.
  8. They’ll draft an edge pass rusher before round 4.  Two names to watch–Ben Banogu/TCU and Jachai Polite/Florida.
  9. They’ll draft a 3rd-down pass catching RB before round 6.  Too much lost injury time with Chris Thompson.

Cooley was on the show today.  Lots of draft talk starting at the 45:04 mark here- https://thekevinsheehanshow.com/2019/04/25/nfl-draft-preview-with-cooley/

Kevin makes a list of players he likes for the Redskins at 15 and a list of the players he doesn’t like at 15 in the upcoming NFL Draft. He and Aaron do an NFL Mock Draft up until the 15th pick and then welcome on JP Finlay, Michael Phillips, Mike Jones, Ben Standig, John Keim, Chris Russell, and Clinton Portis to make the Skins’ first round pick. The show closes with Kevin previewing tonight’s Caps Game 7 with Adam Zielonka/Washington Times. Kevin also talks OKC-Portland and San Jose-Vegas early in the show.

Kevin opened the show with a recap of Caps-‘Canes Game 4 with thoughts on the Foegele hit on Oshie. Next was 30 minutes with Charley Casserly talking Redskins and NFL Draft. Alan May followed with thoughts on why Carolina has been so tough and why he expected Foegele not to be suspended even though he should be. Kevin finished up with Nats, Josh Rosen’s latest quote, and the NBA Playoffs.
