Kevin today opened with some Frank, Sonny, and Sam and then talked about how Washington has become a playoff pick public darling for some reason. Then it was Sam Fortier/Washington Post jumping on to talk about the first week of Commanders’ camp.

Kevin was joined by Doc Walker who has been at Commanders’ training camp every day including today’s first padded-practice in Ashburn. Doc thinks the defense is on the verge of a big year and one player in particular will have a bigger role than most people think. Offensively, he discussed his early impressions of Sam Howell, the potential of the revamped offensive line, and much more.

Kevin opened the show talking about Sam Howell after comments made by ESPN’s Tim Hasselbeck and a look-back at the Dallas game in the season-finale. Thoughts on the 10,000 that showed up at training camp on Saturday were a part of the show as were a few comments made by new minority-share owner Mark Ein from Kevin’s radio show on The Team 980. Doug Kammerer/NBC-4 Chief Meteorologist jumped on to explain the big storm that ravaged the area on Saturday evening and a hunch on what could be a snowy 2023/2024 winter ahead.

Kevin and Thom today with a menu of excellence which includes a conversation about expectations for Josh Harris and the new ownership group. A week after Harris was voted in by the NFL, should there be expectations and if so, what. Plenty of conversation about Ron Rivera and Thom’s upcoming month in Spain. Sean Payton, the Nats, and Ohtani were part of the show as well.

Kevin opened the show talking about Day 2 of training camp, the first day with fans. It was an enthusiastic crowd in Ashburn and the team appreciated it. Encouraging news on the RFK site was discussed and Kevin talked about a big ownership dinner last night in Georgetown. Pete Hailey jumped on to talk Commanders and Kevin finished up the show with something Jacoby Brissett said today at the end of practice.
