Kevin and Thom with plenty of options on the menu today. The boys started with a discussion about the paper route jobs they had as kids. They also talked RFK site and the Commanders’ new team President before getting to answering the question….”who’s the BEST player on the team ?”. Kevin talked about the Terps’ blow out win last night over Ohio State in their Big 10 opener. Thom had thoughts on MLB’s potential “Golden-At-Bat” rule.
Kevin opened talking about the story the Washington Post broke yesterday that Maryland’s two senators wants a DC Air National Guard Squadron in exchange for a YES vote on the RFK site plan. Kevin then welcomed PFF’s Nick Akridge onto the show. They talked about several Commanders’ player performance grades against Tennessee and why Jayden Daniels’ grade wasn’t as high as some thought it should be. VSIN’s Tim Murray jumped on to talk College Football Playoff Rankings and more.
Kevin and Thom today with plenty of follow-up on Washington’s impressive win over the Titans on Sunday. The boys talked about their Thanksgivings where Thom revealed he’s not that much of a mingler…shocker. The Terry McLaurin “left-side/right-side” conversation seems to have died down a bit after Sunday’s big “right-side” game but Kevin had a surprise for those that think it was his biggest “right-side” game. Jameis Winston, NFC East odds, and the NFL Hall of Fame “Senior” and “Coach” finalists lists came out.
Kevin solo with his recap of Washington’s 42-19 pasting of Tennessee to end their 3-game losing skid. His thoughts on the Commanders’ win, his “Game-Take” breakdown of what he liked, didn’t like and more, an updated playoff picture, along with some of the other key games in the NFL yesterday.
Kevin opened with the Bears-Lions Thanksgiving Day game and one of the worst clock management gaffes in recent memory. He previewed and picked the Commanders-Titans game as well. Jay Gruden jumped on for his weekly spot. He gave his keys to a Washington win over Tennessee along with a pick. He also had his “NFL Lock of the Week” which is 6-4 ATS on the season. Kevin finished up with his “Smell Test” picks.
Kevin is joined by Redskins great Billy Kilmer remembering the infamous “Clint Longley” game 50 years ago today. On Thanksgiving Day 1974, Longley came off the bench after Roger Staubach got knocked out and led the Cowboys to a stunning 24-23 comeback win over the Redskins. It’s still to this day ranked as the all-time NFL Thanksgiving Day moment.
