He’s a local legend and a significant figure in the history of Maryland Basketball. He holds ACC records for average points per conference game and nobody has ever matched or exceeded his 8 straight 30+-point game streak. Was he ever tempted to transfer when Maryland was slapped with near death-penalty probation? He answered that. Walt’s NBA career included being on the same team with Charles Barkley and Hakeem Olajuwan. He talked about playing with both and the night Barkley’s career ended.
