Kevin opened with Devin Hester’s mention of Brian Mitchell during his Hall of Fame induction speech two weeks ago. Kevin missed it when he was on vacation so he talked about it today. Kevin responded to ESPN’s “Position Rankings” which had Washington’s Linebackers ranked tops in the NFL. Mitch Tischler/Beltway Podcast jumped on to talk everything Commanders including what he saw yesterday at the joint-practice in Miami with the Dolphins. And finally, Kevin talked Kliff Kingsbury’s fast-start/slow-finish track record as a coach.
Kevin and Thom today with more reaction to the letter Ted Leonsis wrote to them about a potential future Summer Olympics in DC. The guys talked Guinness Beer and Jameson Irish Whiskey before getting to the Commanders. Some conversation about MMQB’s Albert Breer report on his visit to Ashburn and then Kevin had plenty of follow up to Washington’s joint practice in Miami including a telling quote from Dan Quinn about Jahan Dotson.

Ted’s letter was a response to the guys’ conversation yesterday about Ted’s declaration that the Summer Olympics would someday be here in Washington. Next up, Jay Gruden jumped on to talk training camp, preseason, Jayden Daniels, and more. Kevin ended with some numbers on Caitlin Clark which led him to say that she’s the only team sport athlete who deserves an equity/ownership stake.
Kevin and Thom today with talk of vacations to start including Kevin’s trip to Ireland and Thom’s toting of his grand-daughter from Spokane to Wildwood, NJ. The boys talked about Ted Leonsis’ tweet promising an eventual Summer Olympics in DC. Then it was Commanders’ talk with the team adding Martavius Bryant to the WR room raising more questions about that position group. The guys also talked Steph Curry and his ranking among the greatest shooters in history.
Jahan Dotson played more snaps than any offensive skill position player for the Commanders on Saturday against the Jets. Why? Kevin opened with the situation facing Jahan Dotson. He then welcomed on Ben Standig/The Athletic to discuss in more detail. Kevin had more on the Jayden Daniels “audible” to Dyami Brown and talked Ben Sinnott too. He finished up with why he thinks Steph Curry should have been the Olympic Men’s Basketball MVP instead of LeBron James.
