Kevin today with some sports to start but followed by a fascinating interview with Washington Post contributor Kevin Ambrose who has written extensively over the years about the deadliest disaster in Washington DC history. Tomorrow marks the 100-year anniversary of the Knickerbocker Theatre collapse during the city’s worst snowstorm ever. 98 died. 133 were injured. It was a night of chaos that brought out two war heroes, one past, one future, to assist in the rescue and recovery. Just an incredible story.

Kevin with a journey back 30 years ago today when the Washington Redskins beat the Buffalo Bills to win Super Bowl 26 in Minneapolis. He recapped the 37-24 win over the Bills using the actual calls from Pat Summerall and John Madden on CBS. MVP Runner-Up safety Brad Edwards and Skins’ great Joe Jacoby joined Kevin with their memories of that season, week, and the big game. Aaron Schatz/Football Outsiders joined the show to discuss why Football Outsiders ranks the ’91 Redskins as the greatest NFL team of all-time.

Kevin and Thom today on whether or not the NFL’s overtime rule should be changed. They talked more about the incredible NFL playoff weekend and discussed the impact of the performances of Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes on the quarterback search many NFL teams will be on this upcoming off-season. They talked Aaron Rodgers, local NFL TV ratings, Thom’s Hall of Fame MLB vote card, and more.

Kevin opened the show recapping the incredible NFL weekend of playoffs games. ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt joined the show to add to the conversation of one of the great NFL weekends of all-time with one of the greatest finishes in NFL postseason history last night between the Chiefs and Bills. Kevin finished the show with a little on the Wizards, Ovechkin, Terps, and Denny McCarthy’s T-6 finish at La Quinta.

Kevin had a conversation with Ben Standig/The Athletic today about surprise…the Washington Football QB search! Some very interesting thoughts, nuggets, and predictions from both guys on what Washington will do. They also discussed the four NFL Divisional playoff games and debated which team and player is under the most pressure this weekend. Kevin finished up the show with three NFL “Smell Test” picks.

Kevin and Thom today on the annual tradition of watching three former Mike Shanahan Washington Football assistant coaches lead teams in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Snyder’s made thousands of mistakes over the last 22 years but his big ones have been so loud. The boys talked about Fed Ex Field being dumped by FIFA and John Keim’s report that WFT’s discussed move up in last spring’s draft was indeed for Justin Fields.
