Kevin and Thom today rambling on various things in the open before getting to whether or not they think Ryan Fitzpatrick can be a 2-year solution rather than one. Some discussion on the Supreme Court ruling on the NCAA before finishing up with the Nats.
Kevin opened with the Nats’ weekend which included a record setting stretch for Kyle Schwarber. WFT got a blow to their WFT trademark hopes. Jeff Miller/LA Times wrote a story about Colt Brennan’s life and death and came on the show at 20:00 to discuss that and provide an early preview of Washington’s week 1 opponent, the Chargers. Kevin finished up with the US Open and NBA Playoffs.
Kevin and Ben Standig (The Athletic) opened the show recapping and responding to Ben’s interview with Ron Rivera where Rivera seemed to cut Kyle Allen out of the quarterback picture completely. The guys talked Washington Football defensive line and some Wizards’ next-coach guesses too. Kevin finished reacting to Dwayne Haskins’ press conference in Pittsburgh yesterday and a few predictions on the NBA games tonight.
Kevin and Thom today opened the show talking Wizards’ coaching vacancy with an interesting big name possibility thrown into the mix. Also discussed, Ben Standig’s interview with Ron Rivera where Rivera disclosed that the QB competition is between Ryan Fitzpatrick and Taylor Heinicke very clearly leaving out Kyle Allen as part of it. At 54:50, Kevin finishes up the show with Dave Ungrady (author of the Len Bias book, Born Ready) and long-time Baltimore Sun reporter/columnist Don Markus talking about their Len Bias legacy project.
Today’s show includes Scott Linn with Kevin to open the show talking NBA, Washington Football Team, some reminiscing about 980 and Scott’s new venture.
At 1:29:45 the ‘Scott Brooks is out’ news broke when Kevin was talking to Steve Sands/Golf Channel-NBC about many things including Kirk Cousins, the US Open, and then Brooks.
