Kevin and Thom today with plenty of Commanders and NFL talk to start the show including a legitimate Washington player omission from CBS Sports’ NFL Top 100 Players list. Thom discussed the passing of Willie Mays and weighed in on the conversation of who replaces Mays as the greatest all-time “living” player. The guys also talked RFK site bill, the Nats, and more.
Kevin solo today opened with a quick thought on the passing of Willie Mays before getting to the first of what should be many “NFL Top 100 Players” lists. This list is short on Commanders although a trade for Brandon Aiyuk would give them a top 10 wide receiver. Kevin also talked about ESPN’s Seth Walder’s NFL off-season grades, the Nats, some news on the RFK site bill in the senate, Caitlin Clark, and the “QB salary cap” idea.
Kevin and Thom today opened with the Celtics winning the NBA Championship. The boys talked much more about Brandon Aiyuk’s conversation with Jayden Daniels yesterday and considered the legitimate chances of a receiver like Aiyuk being traded by the 49ers. Some Nats discussion and Ted Leonsis’ response to a Thom’s beach tweet.
Kevin opened with the conversation between 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk and Commanders’ QB Jayden Daniels which Aiyuk posted to Tik Tok. It appears that Aiyuk and Daniels are excited about an opportunity to play with each other after Aiyuk said the 49ers ‘don’t want him back’. Kevin talked Rory McIlory’s meltdown at Pinehurst and the Nats’ sweep of Miami as well. Joe House/The Ringer jumped on to talk US Open and NBA Finals to finish up the show.
Kevin opened with thoughts on a Commanders You Tube video that the team put out highlighting their behind-the-scenes during the NFL Draft. Michael Phillips/910 The Fan (Richmond) jumped on to talk about the Commanders’ off-season which is now officially over. Eric Flack/WUSA-TV 9 was a guest discussing a DC sports study which produced an analysis of the economic feasibility of bringing Washington’s football team back to DC in a new stadium at the RFK site.
Kevin opened with Dan Quinn’s answer to the question of whether or not he’s seen enough from Jayden Daniels to name him the Commanders’ starting quarterback heading into training camp. Plenty on the NBA Finals Game 3 between the Celtics and Mavericks and Luka Doncic in particular. David Falk, one of the greatest sports agents of all time, jumped on with Kevin to talk about many things including his childhood idol Jerry West along with thoughts on Caitlin Clark.
