Aaron was back…sort of. He called in to co-host with Kevin. Aaron had a few binge television show suggestions and then they got to sports. Some gambling talk back on the show for the first time in awhile including an NFL “Covid 19” futures strategy. They weighed in on Cam Newton to the Pats and more.
To start the show, Kevin talked about the ease of his Covid-19 test and Thom talked about his upcoming eye procedure. Then they got to Joe Bugel, Ron Rivera’s comments on the Skins’ name, Bucky Brooks predicting a Redskins’ parade in a few years, and more.
Kevin opened with the increasing infection rate among athletes, the response from among others Saints safety Malcolm Jenkins, and where the start and restart of professional sports stands as of now. Ben Standig/The Athletic and Kevin then spent an hour talking Redskins. Included were 11 questions Ben thinks Ron Rivera will have to answer when before training camp.
Kevin and Thom today with a ton on Jack Del Rio’s twitter fun on Tuesday night and a recap of John Keim’s podcast interview with RG3. Plenty of other stuff including a story about Mark Moseley’s field goal streak in 1982, the Colts move from Baltimore in 1984, and whether or not the NFL will start on time or even complete the 2020 season.
Kevin and Thom on a weird trip today. It started with pain meds before turning towards Joaquin Phoenix, Yellowstone, and then Montana. They talked baseball, Bertans, and Bobby Mitchell too. And there was more….lots more.
Kevin in today to discuss Bobby Mitchell’s jersey being retired a day after George Preston Marshall’s statue in front of RFK Stadium was taken down. Kevin tried to explain/simplify the baseball negotiations and discussed why it’s crazy for the NFL to think about a Dr. Fauci “bubble” city.
