Kevin today addressed the notion that Ben Johnson became disinterested in the Washington job last year when he learned that Adam Peters would be drafting a quarterback instead of keeping Sam Howell. Kevin discussed Bobby Wagner missing a 2nd day of practice with an ankle injury and Joe Whitt Jr.’s comments about Marshon Lattimore’s performance in Tampa. Doc Walker jumped on to preview the playoff game Saturday night against the Lions. Commanders’ DT Daron Payne was a guest on the show as well.
Kevin opened with what seems like an obvious formula for an upset Saturday night in Detroit. He also talked about some of Jayden Daniels’ missed opportunities against the Bucs. Mike Jones/The Athletic jumped on to recap his trip to Tampa for Commanders-Bucs and to look ahead to NFL Divisional Round Weekend. Kevin finished with a recap of Wild Card Weekend and some thoughts on the Terps win last night over Minnesota.
Kevin opened with thoughts that Washington could be at the beginning of sustained playoff contention because of Jayden Daniels. He had his keys to Commanders win over the Bucs along with a prediction on the game. Kevin shared his belief that Kliff Kingsbury intends on featuring two players in particular on Sunday night. The boys talked Notre Dame/Penn State, Kingsbury’s next move when the season ends, and Thom’s column on Bob Dylan’s love for boxing.
