Kevin opens with the Nats, the report that Jay Gruden wanted to cut Adrian Peterson, and the report from DeAngelo Hall that Trent Williams may be back sooner rather than later. Scott Van Pelt was on the show to talk College Football, Terps, and to make a few NFL predictions. Kevin finished up the show with his AFC season preview and picks.
Kevin and Thom opened the show talking about the Redskins’ roster maneuvers from the weekend which included the release of their 2016 first-round pick Josh Doctson. Thom did his Skins’ season “best-case/worst-case”. They also talked about omitting Sean Taylor last week in a conversation about Skins’ retired/protected jerseys. Then it was Nats, Terps, and Kevin’s “Coaching Blunders” from the weekend.
Cooley joins Kevin on the show today. They open with a discussion about Dwayne Haskins’ performance in the preseason and when he will be ready to play. They talk roster cuts, Trent Williams and more before getting to their “best-case/worst-case” predictions for the Skins’ 2019 season. Kevin finishes up the show with his first “Smell Test” of the year.
Kevin and Thom opened with the Redskins “Welcome Home Luncheon” which Thom attended. Bruce Allen spoke to Sherree Burress/NBC 4 about Trent Williams….Kevin and Thom discussed that. They got to Dwayne Haskins, the Nats, and which Redskins should have their jerseys retired as well.
Thom has made it out of his house and he and Kevin talk about a slew of topics including the Nats, Andrew Luck, how Redskins fans should feel about the franchise, how Thom feels about covering football, and more.
Kevin opened with the Andrew Luck retirement and then got to the Jay Gruden announcement that Case Keenum will start the opener in Philadelphia. As part of the Keenum discussion, Kevin reveals a hunch he has about Haskins and the opener against the Eagles. Kevin and Aaron talked some college football and Kevin weighed in on Josh Norman’s declaration about the Skins’ defense.
