Kevin and Thom today with a recap of the Wizards win over Golden State to start. Thom’s recent column in the Washington Times contemplated why Dan Snyder would be taking the risk of going after Bruce Allen. The boys discussed that. Kevin talked about the potential for Washington draft day trades….the first, a big trade up for a QB and second, a lesser trade up for a non-QB. And finally, a revealing story in Sports Illustrated about Alex Smith described a coaching staff that Smith said was “patronizing” to him while Smith’s father claimed Washington tried to “sabotage” Alex’s return.

A different show today. Kevin talked about Jordan Reed’s retirement and his place on a list of the greatest Washington Football “What Ifs”. Cooley had to bail because he has to prep for knee surgery tomorrow so Kevin went back two years ago to a show he and Chris did on NFL Draft Day 2019. An interesting look back on the rumors that Snyder was going to be more involved in the teams’ draft. Also, Cooley and Kevin talked a lot about the possibility of Dwayne Haskins being drafted in the first round.

Cooley and Kevin today with Cooley’s “Film Analysis” of both Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson. Cooley thinks Wilson is the best QB in the draft. Also discussed was the John Keim report that Washington would consider trading up into the top 10 to take a certain QB if that QB falls AND that they would additionally consider a trade up outside of the top 10 to take a non-QB. Also discussed, the latest on what San Francisco will do it #3. The odds currently have the 49ers selecting Justin Fields. Is Cooley backing off his prediction from earlier in the week that Mac Jones is a lock to go to SF? All of the above and more on the show today.

Cooley and Kevin today on several topics today including Cooley’s development into a master fly fisherman. Beyond that, a ton of football starting the boys’ thoughts on Washington’s new international tight end, Sammis Reyes. Cooley did his “film breakdown” of Alabama QB Mac Jones and he likes him a lot. A surprising ranking from Cooley on Jones is a part of the conversation. The guys finished up with a Washington QB trade that most haven’t been considering.

Kevin and Thom today on the Nats, Caps, and Wizards to start. They talked next about the story in “The Athletic” about the dysfunction in the Philadelphia Eagles organization led by their very hands-on owner Jeffrey Lurie. Is it worse there than here in DC? Steph Curry passed Wilt on the Warriors’ scoring list and Mel Kiper has Washington selecting a QB in the 2nd round. All of that and a Juan Soto batting order argument to boot.
