Kevin and Thom today on a multitude of topics. They talked about an NFL reporter’s mocking of the Washington Football Team in a tweet. They discussed the end-game for Alex Smith now that he’s made the 53-man roster. They discussed Nats’ GM Mike Rizzo’s new deal, Novak Djokovich’s default at the US Open, and one of the worst coaching clock management errors you’ll ever see. Some NBA playoffs too.

Kevin opened with the breaking news that Adrian Peterson was released by Washington. JP Finlay/NBCSports Washington joined the show to talk about why Peterson was released before the guys got to their thoughts on the 53-man roster cut down. Kevin also debuted his “Smell Test” for 2020 with a college football pick.

Kevin and Thom today talking about Dwayne Haskins being named starter yesterday. Before that, Thom weighed in on his favorite athlete of all time, Tom Seaver, passing away. They talked about the new motion of discovery Dan Snyder is requesting in a California court and the reasons why. The boys also got to Kirk Cousins and his comments on Covid-19.

Kevin and Thom today. Kevin tried to recommend a podcast to Thom but it fell on deaf ears. Thom remembered Coach Thompson on the show today and the boys shared stories of being around Coach during their years at WTEM-980. They talked about the NFL now overseeing the Beth Wilkenson investigation and the increasing presence of Tanya Snyder in statements from the team. Additionally there was some WTF “football” talk and some NBA Game 7 discussion from Kevin too.
