Kevin and Thom talk about the 30th anniversary of Tyson-Douglas. They then talk about the Redskins before looking at what the QB Carousel might look like in this NFL offseason.
Kevin opens with Maryland’s scare last night against Nebraska and then got to a ton of Redskins’ news including reports that Trent Williams and Ron Rivera have spoken. There was news about Quinton Dunbar from Doc Walker, an NFL Draft analyst who described Chase Young’s flaws, and a Sporting News opinion that Phillip Rivers and the Redskins are a good fit.
Kevin is back from Utah. Thom joined him. They talked about Quinton Dunbar’s “trade or release” demand. The boys discussed ESPN’s Mike Greenberg’s criticism of the Redskins’ handling of Dwayne Haskins. They talked XFL, MLB postseason changes, the Terps, and Phillip Rivers too.
Kevin and Thom opened with a few more SB thoughts including why Patrick Mahomes can already be considered Hall-of-Fame worthy. Ron Rivera said that he and the organization haven’t talked to Trent Williams yet….why not? They theorized on why the Vegas odds-makers have installed the Redskins as the longest shot on the 2020 NFL board. Thom talked about his latest column featuring a depressing “All-Time Super Bowl” team. Todd McShay’s thoughts on why Chase Young is a no-brainer for the Skins at 2 is discussed as well.
Kevin opened with a complete Super Bowl game take/recap. Chris Cooley joined him and they debated whether or not the 49ers won it or the Chiefs blew it. Kevin talked Alex Smith’s appearance on ESPN’s Outside the Lines where Smith admitted that he’s lucky to be alive. Kevin and Aaron talked Super Bowl ads, 2020 NFL odds, and some weekend hoops as well.
