Kevin opened with the Andrew Luck retirement and then got to the Jay Gruden announcement that Case Keenum will start the opener in Philadelphia. As part of the Keenum discussion, Kevin reveals a hunch he has about Haskins and the opener against the Eagles. Kevin and Aaron talked some college football and Kevin weighed in on Josh Norman’s declaration about the Skins’ defense.
Kevin opened with news on New England’s interest level in Trent Williams. Kevin and Thom talked Skins-Falcons, Scherzer’s return, Hard Knocks and more.
Kevin and Thom talked about why all of the former Redskins’ players like Santana Moss, Clinton Portis, and Shawn Springs want Dwayne Haskins to sit much of it not his whole rookie season. They got to Jay Gruden indicating that he has communicated recently with Trent Williams. They talked about Zeke Elliott’s response to Jerry Jones’ saying “Zeke who?” They finished up with some Nats’ discussion.
Cooley joins Kevin from the start and discusses the chance that Dwayne Haskins could start the opener in Philly. Cooley and Kevin then turn to the defense which saw the projected starters play through much of the first quarter. Kevin talked about the Bryce Harper walk-off grand slam and then finished with the announcement that London Fletcher and Chris Samuels will be inducted into the Redskins Ring of Fame this year.
