Kevin solo today opened with the speculation that Chicago may hold onto Justin Fields and trade the #1 overall pick. Kevin explored the potential price and probability of Washington moving up a spot for Caleb Williams. Kevin also discussed the weekend report that Sam Howell could bring back a 3rd-round pick or more in a trade. Kevin finished up with the Terps’ win at Rutgers and thoughts on “Court Storming”.
Kevin and Thom today open with the news on whether or not Thom got a karaoke recording contract in Florida. The boys reacted to all of the Commanders’ assistant coaches doing media yesterday which led to Thom’s story about Ken Norton Jr.’s father’s first encounter with Muhammad Ali. Some big recruiting news for Maryland Basketball and a first-ever for George Mason.
Kevin is joined by ESPN’s Stanford Steve Coughlin to start the show. The guys spent time discussing the quarterbacks in the NFL Draft with Steve sharing his preference between Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye. They talked College Football’s 5×7 playoff format as well. Then it was all-time Maryland great John Lucas jumping on to share stories and memories of Lefty Driesell.
Kevin and Thom with a solid set list today. The boys opened with the Nationals not up for sale anymore. They then played the organizational view of Sam Howell if he had been drafted much higher. The first encore was Thom’s stories and memories of Lefty along with Kevin playing his favorite, ‘why the momentum is building for Jayden Daniels’. Sam Fortier/Washington Post was a guest to discuss the Washington Post story on the Ted Leonsis/DC/Virginia saga that led to the announced intention to move the Wizards/Caps to Northern Virginia. Kevin had thoughts on the NBA All-Star game and the breaking news that the Nationals are no longer for sale.
