Kevin and Thom opened the show talking Broadway musicals before getting to the headline-making Ron Rivera comments yesterday about Carson Wentz. They discussed the Monday Night game between the Chiefs and Raiders where the NFL’s current state of quarterback protection was on full display. Some baseball playoffs to end the show.
Kevin started the show with a complete recap of Washington’s 21-17 loss to the Tennessee Titans yesterday as the Commanders fell to 1 and 4. Doc Walker jumped on to share his thoughts on the Commanders’ 4th straight loss. Kevin finished up with the best from “Around the NFL” and a few thoughts on Maryland’s 31-29 loss to Purdue on Saturday.
Cooley and Kevin today with thoughts and laughs about last night’s fiasco in Denver. Then it’s a comprehensive preview of Washington-Tennessee with predictions on the game. Kevin finished up with his “Smell Test” off of two straight winning weeks.
Kevin and Thom today with a theme of “What’s Next”. What’s next after Snyder’s lawyers sent a scathing letter to the House Oversight Committee? What’s next with the football team with two games coming up on Sunday against Tennessee and Thursday night in Chicago? Thom’s prediction on Commanders-Titans plus World Series picks as well.
Cooley was on the show today with his “film breakdown” of the Dallas game. He described in detail why the run game worked on Sunday and why they weren’t able to get anything downfield in their pass offense off play-action. Additionally, a comprehensive Carson Wentz review. Same for William Jackson, Jon Allen, and Daron Payne. The guys also talked a ton of NFL at the start of the show.
Kevin and Thom today started with mostly non-sports items including the “Rolling Stone Top 100 TV Shows” of all-time list. The boys talked a lot about the Dan Snyder/Jerry Jones picture from Dallas on Sunday. And plenty on Ron Rivera’s Monday press conference and the need to suspend yourself from reality when discussing the Washington football franchise.
